CoreWeave has consistently recognized the enormous potential of the Sports, Entertainment and Gaming (SEG) industries to drive cloud usage, GPU workloads, and AI training and inference. That’s why, in 2023, we acquired Conductor Technologies and the multi-cloud SaaS platform they built to render 3D and VFX for movie, TV, advertising, and gaming. Combined with CoreWeave’s AI cloud computing platform, AI Object Storage, zero-free egress and cross-region cloud, we can now demonstrate that broadcasters can access more modern compute and faster storage, and limit cost unpredictability with CoreWeave—all while operating at costs up to 34% below AWS. Now we’re announcing additional expansion to support the creative industries and ensure that these pioneers are fully prepared for the future of AI.

Training and inference for video and image use cases

Today we’re announcing the redesigned and expanded version of Conductor, which supports use cases beyond rendering, initially for training and inference of LoRA (Low Rank Adaptation) on a range of visual AI models.

Creative, marketing, and branding teams are challenged by AI asset creation because of the myriad of rapidly changing models, insecure workflows (often using 3rd party websites requiring uploading of critical IP and brand assets) and lack of integration with asset management systems. Using Conductor, teams can now securely store their brand assets, seamlessly generate model customizations, compare AI models and then run inference to generate new images and videos which align with their brands—all without tying up local machines or worrying about how to run cloud orchestration.

This new version LoRA-centric version of Conductor delivers the artist-level tools, pay-as-you-go pricing, and seamless cloud scaling that Conductor is famous for while allowing users to create, store, and deploy hundreds of AI custom trainings across their asset catalogs.   Here’s a video demonstration of the new platform.

The expanded Conductor using Coreweave is available in open beta now at https://ai.conductortech.com/ for image generation. Support for video models and other cloud infrastructures  is coming soon. Developers will be able to access the APIs they need to integrate Conductor training and inference into their own asset management, workflows,or artist tools.

Monique Bradshaw, Head of Product for  Media and Entertainment at CoreWeave, said,  “With the continued investment, expansion of products, and thought leadership, CoreWeave is demonstrating our intention to be the preferred cloud to help our clients navigate the changing business and technology landscapes while managing their costs so they can create at a speed and efficiency not possible before.”

Conductor, now an award-winning technology
